FUNDING -
FALL RAFFLE Typically, the fall fundraising raffle begins in early September with raffle tickets being sent home from school with the children. The children are encouraged to sell the tickets to family, friends, and neighbors. Parents are strongly encouraged to assist their children - especially if families wish to sell tickets door-to-door. In 2009, tickets were sold for $10 each for a chance at winning the $5000 grand prize or $1000 runner-up prize. This raffle provides the highest income from any single
fundraiser sponsored by the Academy, bringing in as much as $30,000. All families are strongly encouraged to
assist with this fundraiser to help keep tuition reasonable. The ticket-selling period ends in late October, when all Holy Angels families are invited to the school for an evening of games and pot-luck supper. The winning tickets are drawn, and prizes are awarded to the students who sold the most tickets. |
